UPDATE: We are making cheese on our own farm! It's been quite a journey so far (read below), but we are moved to Ethan, South Dakota! Currently we handcraft small batch artisan cheese using Grade A milk from our family's Holstein herd, which is located just 3 miles down the road from us. We haul milk to our humble facility, and make amazing artisan cheese!



Valley Side Farm is an 8th generation family farm established in 1873. Along with farming, making fresh artisan cheese with no added preservatives has been what Valley Side Farm Cheese, LLC, has carefully perfected over the last number of years. Kris Swanson and her husband Scott have decided to pass their knowledge, experience and proprietary recipes on, selling their cheese making business to Farm Life Creamery, LLC in 2018.

Gary and Amy Blase each grew up on dairy farms and started their married life with a dairy of their own in 1972. Eldest son, Chad Blase, and Laura Klock, came on board a few years ago to help the family farm adapt to the changing dairy industry. In the process, they discovered Valley Side Farm Cheese, and Chad and Laura have been making artisan cheese since!

Fresh + squeaky cheddar Cheese Curds allowed Farm Life Creamery to get their brand to market fast, taking this delicious cheddar cheese directly out of the vat and delivering it fresh to you! Offering 35+ amazing curd flavors, and innovative new flavors every week, Farm Life Creamery has been gaining new cheese fans and satisfying existing customers while we build inventory. Our most popular Artisan cheddars to date are Five Pepper, Coffee, and Sesame! We have also mastered Gruyere, Mozzarella, Colby and Chocolate Cheddar.
